Ghazel Tellawi, PhD

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Specialty Areas

I work with individuals who come to therapy for a wide variety of reasons, including depression, anxiety, phobias, life transitions, and stress. My particular focus areas are providing gender affirming care for individuals 12 and older who are at various stages in their gender journey, as well as working with people who have OCD. I have significant experience and training in helping clients who are navigating gender identity exploration/transition, as well as sexual and racial identity development. I write letters of support for gender affirming surgery, and can typically get folks in within a week. I also provide ADHD assessments and full diagnostic assessments.

Services

  • I provide one on one therapy for individuals 12 and up, with a focus on treating depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), as well as navigating identity development related to gender, sexuality, and ethnic identity. I do not take insurance and charge $200 each session.

  • I provide couples therapy, with focus on navigating non-monogamous relationship structures and concerns related to sexuality. I charge $250 each session for couples therapy.

  • I provide ADHD testing for individuals 12 and up. Please inquire for more details.

  • I provide diagnostic testing for folks who want to learn more about their mental health diagnoses. This can help for folks who are feeling stuck in their own individual therapy or who are hoping to meet with a psychiatrist but want more diagnostic information before doing so.

  • For adolescents 12 and up who are considering gifted and talented programs in school, or who need IQ testing to be placed in the right educational program.

  • I provide consultation to other providers looking to gain more experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals, providing gender affirming care, treating OCD, and working from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy framework. Please reach out to learn more!
